Fiji Weather -
Fiji is a tropical climate - High season is generally March thru November. It is a sunny climate without extremes. The The cooler dry season is from May to October and he warm wetter season from November to APril Warm season high temperatures average 86 degrees, the cool season average is 78 degrees.
Fiji Time Zone - Fiji is 20 hours ahead of U.S. Pacific Standard Time. Example; 2:00pm monday PST = 10:00am Tuesday in Fiji

Travel Visas - Visas are issued for arrival of Nationals of most countries. Nationals of select countries will require a prearranged Visa which can be applied for at the Fiji Embassy to their respective country. Please check with us for more details. Visitors must have a current passport valid for three months from the date of entry, adequate funds to support themselves and a return airline ticket.
Fiji Currency- The currency used is the Fijian Dollar but New Zealand Dollars are often accepted. Dominations of : $20, $10, $5, $2 and $1. Coins of 50¢, 20¢, 10¢, 5¢, 2¢ and 1¢.
There is a bank at Nadi International Airport and the main cities to exchange currency on arrival and departure. Major credit cards are welcomed by most resorts, restaurants, shops and tour companies. Major credit cards are accepted by the major hotels, car rental agency's, some restaurants and excursion and tour services.
Electricity - 240 volts, 50 cycles. Fiji has 3 pin power outlets, it would be a wise ideal to pack a socket adaptor, although converters/adaptor for appliance are usually available upon request.
Island Language - English is widely used in Fijian and Hindi also predominate. Hotel staff are fluent in English. Fiji has three main languages - English, Fijian and Hindi.
Medical Facilities - Fiji is free from most tropical diseases and inoculation is not required unless entering from a designated infected area. Hospitals are located in major cities.
Clothing - Visitors to Fiji need a light tropical wardrobe. Swimmers, shorts, T-shirts and a sulu are a must. During the cool season it is recommended you have a sweatshirt available for the evening when the temperatures drop. Wearing the popular swimmers is acceptable at the resorts but visitors should be careful to respect local customs when visiting villages or shopping in town.
Driving in Fiji - A visitor may drive if they are in possession of a current valid home country drivers licence of the same class of vehicle. Driving in Fiji is on the left side of the road and most roads are good for driving. Most resorts an the mainland are easily located on, or a short distance from the main roads.
Drinking Water - Fresh water reticulated in major towns on the mainland of Viti Levu has been treated and is said to be safe to drink. A number of island resorts pipe their water from the mainland, making the water drinkable. Some resorts have desalination plants and visitors will be advised by these resorts, as to the suitability of water for drinking.
