Night Life in Tahiti – This Island is Alive

Looking for some night life in Tahiti options? If you are planning your honeymoon, you may be happy to know that this island doesn’t go to sleep when the sun goes down. In fact, Tahitians love life, which means that they love to celebrate every single hour of the day.  With the soft island breezes blowing all night long, it’s hard not to venture out of your hotel once your romantic beach day has ended. So, where do you go in order to take part in all the fun and excitement? While this island has no shortage of great night spots, some are a bit livelier than others.

Night life in Tahiti begins with Papeete. This waterfront location is crawling with nightlife options. Lots of local Tahitians mix with tourists from all over the world at this spot. If you wander down towards Papeete’s waterfront, you’ll find an abundance of bars, nightclubs, restaurants, cafes, and even some exclusive private clubs. The Hyatt Regency Hotel also offers tourists some fun Polynesian dancing shows, and other hotels tend to offer similar shows for their guests. You may also find that simply strolling along the streets will lead you straight to some interesting street shows that include fire dancing and other acts.

While night life in Tahiti is tourist-friendly, there are some things to beware of. One of the oldest scams in the book has to do with a “friendly native” that wants to show you around all the best spots. This situation almost always winds up with you losing your wallet, so beware of these types of tricks. Otherwise, many tourists enjoy every aspect of Tahitian nightlife. If you want to break away from your hotel, find out where the locals go, and get ready to have a good time, then this is the destination for you.

Ask your hotel concierge about night life in Tahiti. Also, make sure to do a lot of research before you leave home. Some cruises, dance performances, and other nightlife options require advance booking. If you are going to book your trip through a travel agent, express your desire to explore the nighttime options. Most great travel agents will be able to give you some valuable tips. Tahiti is alive once the sun goes down, so why not get out there and explore the town? You’ll love all the things that this tropical spot has to offer.

Six Creative Ideas for Preserving and Displaying Love Letters

Do you As you know Tahiti Honeymoons is all about romance.

Since 1998 we have been assisting couples on exotic weddings and honeymoons. Many return to us when traveling back to Tahiti for anniversaries and vow renewal ceremonies or just looking for a romantic Tahiti holiday.

Below is a tip for those looking to  add a little romance to your home.

Has your feng shui energy gone a bit stale in the love corner? There are creative ways to preserve and display treasured love letters, above and beyond the classic move of tying them with satin ribbon and storing them in your cedar chest.

First, either invest in a small color scanner or find a copy shop that will scan the letters into digital files for you. Home versions of scanners are now affordable for nearly every middle-income family. For several of these projects, you will also need an inkjet printer.

Fabric Panels

Open the digital files of your love letters and crop them or copy and paste them as desired in an MS Word document. Insert printable cotton fabric (Avery’s design 3384 is a good one.) into your inkjet printer, and print the document directly onto the cotton fabric. Cut the printable fabric to the desired size and shape, and either sew or iron it onto the surface of a pillow. Several squares could be used as a tender addition to a patchwork quilt.

Album Insert

Many photo albums come with a framed window on the front cover. Instead of choosing a picture from your wedding, consider displaying a sweet letter from your courtship on the face of your wedding album.

Desk Découpage

Was your husband a prolific letter-writer? Add romance to a writing desk by using Mod Podge or spray adhesive to affix copies of letters (so that neither the paper nor the ink of the original letters becomes damaged) to the top of the desk. Letters can be printed on identical paper for uniformity, different colors of paper for variety, or even on paper that is coordinated to the room. Cover the desk with glass cut to fit, and you will have a regular reminder of his tender words.

Stationery

Don’t let the art of letter writing end with those love letters. Copy and paste the digital images into an MS Word file. Select View  Toolbars  Picture. Within the picture toolbar, select Color and then Washout. This makes the image of the letters fade into a background “wash.” Print out as many of these as you wish, and use them for your personal stationery. Or cut them in fours with a paper cutter and use the sheets to jot quick notes to your significant other.

Scrapbook Pages and Inserts

Print the letters on acid-free paper and use them as scrapbook pages, or layer for decorations alongside pictures and keepsakes.

With a little ingenuity and a lot of love, your old love letters can bring a touch of tenderness to the design of your home, and to your heart.

It is, after all, difficult to be angry with someone when the depth of his love is on full display
